Why we want to row the Pacific Ocean, an interview with Team Flyin Fish

Why does anyone want to row across the Pacific Ocean? Only 80 people have ever completed this challenge, because it is tough, maybe the toughest row in the world! But right now, in early July 2023, 14 teams are battling their way across the Pacific, in an attempt to add their names to this exclusive list.

We often talk about the awe inspiring annual Atlantic challenge and the intrepid teams we have the joy of training and coaching each year for the Worlds Toughest Row, but last year we added the Pacific Challenge  training to our repertoire.

So, on a wet and windy October afternoon in Teignmouth we thought we’d find out more from Team Flyin Fish. We asked why they want to row the Pacific and take part in the Inaugural race from Monterey Bay, California to Kauai, Hawaii.
