DURATION: 5 days

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS: Valid First Aid Certificate, Intermediate non-planing certificate with beach starting and non-planing gybe clinics. RYA Powerboat Level 2 Certificate and RYA Safe and Fun.

ABILITY AT COURSE END: Qualified RYA Windsurf Instructor Certificate allowing you to run sessions under the supervision of an RYA Senior Instructor

COURSE DESCRIPTION: Start Windsurf instructors are qualified to teach the Start Windsurfing syllabus from the adult scheme and stages 1 & 2 of the Junior Scheme under the supervision of an RYA Senior Instructor.

This 5 days course teaches everything you need to know get to students up on a board and sailing in all directions, as well as providing you with presentational and session planning skills. You will be required to give a short talk on a pre prepared topic.
