REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS: Level 2 Powerboat certificate, with a coastal endorsement
ABILITY AT COURSE END: Instructor candidates are expected to demonstrate their ability to the level of CAN in all aspects of the Level Two syllabus as described in the Powerboat Logbook G20/04

COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This assessment is the entry-point to the RYA Powerboat Instructor Course (also offered at SeaSports Southwest).
Instructor candidates are expected to demonstrate their ability to the level of ‘CAN’ in all aspects of the Level Two syllabus as described in the Powerboat Logbook G20/04. This includes:
· Holding off a mark
· Picking up and securing to a buoy
· Moor alongside up and down tide
· Turn using warps
· Turn in a confined space
· Recover a man overboard
· Start and stop engine
· Planning speed runs including figure 8 and U turns
