COURSE DESCRIPTION: The RYA level 2 Basic Skills sailing course develops learning from level 1, focused on the skills needed to become a more independent sailor. At the end of this fun two day course we aim for all to become a competent, independent sailor in light winds.

Sailing in Laser Picos & Bahias, the course introduces new skills including man over board recovery, coming along side and picking up moorings; also extending background and theory of sailing knowledge.

The RYA Start Sailing Level 2 course can be taken as a standalone course over 2 days, but we often offer the opportunity to take it as a combined course with the Level 1, taking you from complete beginner to independent sailor in just 5 days. This is a great school holidays package!

The next step in the RYA sailing scheme is the Better Sailing course (level 3).
